Take a moment at Camp Patriot to reflect on the contributions and sacrifices made by the many heroes who serve our community: military personnel, first responders and volunteers who make this such a great place to live and work. This is the 30th year the Tacoma Events Commission, a completely volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization, has presented Tacoma’s annual 4th of July celebration. They are proud to honor our community heroes at Camp Patriot. You can join event organizers in honoring those who serve and protect our community. Located in Marine Park, near the Lobster Shop Restaurant, Camp Patriot is a place where you can relax a little, enjoy a float at BJ’s Root Beer Garden (sponsored and hosted by BJ’s Brewery at the Tacoma Mall) and consider the many people who make this all possible.

No matter why you may visit Camp Patriot, you’ll enjoy the great music at the Worthy Ministries entertainment stage starring Tiffany Curtiss, from Nashville and featuring a fantastic line up of Gospel, hip hop, step dancing, Country, CCM, Rap, Jazz, dance, and Acoustic/Soul - hosted by comedian Tracie Davis. The kids will enjoy the inflatable toys and the fast-paced action of the ESPN Deportes Soccer Clinic.
Just a few steps away from Camp Patriot, the Lost Boys Pirates Cove will host pirates, mock sword-fights and breath-taking dinghy races. If you’re there after the Freedom Fair air show concludes, you might see the military recruiters of Camp Patriot defending their honor against the onslaught of the pirates’ band during an exciting tug-of-war! Kids of all ages will have a great time.
There’s something for everyone at Freedom Fair, and a lot of it is at Camp Patriot. Come meet the fine men and women who serve our country and make our community a better place to live and work. Camp Patriot is open to the public from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM and the live entertainment on the Worthy Music Ministries Stage continues until 10:00.
